Lyra Player Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 10, 2026
Simple Stack provides Lyra Player, an Android music and video player with package name com.lyraplayer.musicplayer. This policy explains how the app handles information. Contact us at klixup@gmail.com.
Music, videos, and permissions
With your permission, Lyra Player reads audio and video files available on your device to display your library, show artwork and thumbnails, and play media. Older Android versions use a storage permission for the same purpose. These files are processed on your device; the app does not upload your audio, videos, artwork, or media library to our servers.
You can revoke media access in Android Settings. Some library and playback functions will then be unavailable. Picture-in-picture uses Android's system feature and does not require permission to draw over other apps.
Information stored on your device
Playlists, likes, hidden-file metadata, playback preferences, recent plays, play counts, and listening time are stored locally. Hiding a file hides it within Lyra Player and does not remove the original file. The app does not currently provide cloud backup or user accounts.
Analytics, diagnostics, and configuration
The release app includes Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Remote Config. These services may process app interactions, crash reports, performance and device information, app-instance or installation identifiers, and approximate location inferred from network information. Analytics helps us understand app use; crash diagnostics helps identify technical problems; Remote Config supplies app configuration.
These services can send information to Google over encrypted connections. We do not intentionally include your media files or library contents in analytics or crash reports. Learn more in Firebase's privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising and information sharing
This version contains no ads and no in-app purchases. We do not sell personal information. Google processes service-related information for the Firebase features described above. We may also disclose information if legally required.
Support requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use this information to respond and resolve your request. Avoid attaching private media or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request.
Retention and deletion
Local app data remains until you clear it in Android Settings or uninstall the app. Your original music and video files are separate from that app data. Firebase service data is retained according to the service and project settings. Contact us to request information about, or deletion of, information associated with your support requests or data we can reasonably identify.
Children and personal information
Lyra Player does not ask users to provide their name, age, or account credentials. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, please contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Security and policy changes
We use Android's app storage and the security features of our service providers. No system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change; the effective date above will identify the latest version.
